Team Fortress 2 Fan UI/UX

The Challenge
As a longtime fan of the classic first-person shooter game Team Fortress 2, I was always disappointed with the game's original user interface (UI) and menu design. While the game itself was fantastic, the UI felt outdated and clunky, with broken menus and a lack of visual polish. Much of the game's interface was leftover assets from it's predecessor, Half Life 2 I wanted to create a new UI that would do justice to the game's iconic characters and art style, while also improving the overall user experience.

The Solution
To create the new UI, I started by analyzing the existing UI and identifying its iconic attributes. I created a moodboard compiling what worked, choosing to keep some design elements while starting fresh on others. I also looked towards games like Overwatch Destiny 2, and Valorant as a point of reference.
I began by creating a new layout and menu system that would be more intuitive and visually appealing. I used a combination of bold typography, custom illustrations/renders, and classic TF2 colors to create a design that would feel both modern and true to the game's original art style. I also added new features and functionality, such as a customizable player profile, more intuitive weapon customization, and better community server options.
